Bone Scanogram

• Used to evaluate leg length discrepancy

• Need measure the following:

  • Femur length = femoral head to medial femoral condyle

  • Tibia length - from medial plafond to ankle

  • Femur + tibia length - tip of femoral head to tibial plafond

Umbilical Arterial Catheter

• Umbilical artery —> iliac artery —> Aorta

• Two acceptable placements

  • High line = T8-10

  • Low line = L3 and below

  • Not in between because major arterial vessels located here and line increases risk of clot which can occlude major vessel

PICCs

• 2F or 3F

• UE PICC - mid SVC

• If in RA = needs repositioning, laceration, tamponade, etc.
